Head of Sales

Role overview: Leading and driving a sales team to generate revenue/sales for the business by managing our partner relationships, sourcing new partners, and getting trades over the line. Company Overview: ALT 21 is an innovative, award-winning, and dual-regulated FX hedging technology company. We are a fast-growing business with offices in Dublin, London and Portugal that has undergone a big change over the last year on the back of a large funding round. We build technology to simplify hedging, specialising in providing a full suite of products that are distributed through our partner channels to SME’s.  Our mission is to use technology to bring essential financial risk management products that everyday businesses need, in a way that’s easy for them to understand. Key responsibilities and accountabilities include but are not limited to: - Lead a great team of BDM’s and Sales Executives who are responsible for generating sales and closing deals with our partners, building and growing their capability. - Be a role model, creating a positive sales culture, including fostering trust, integrity and compliance whilst focusing on the sales processes/ systems. - Create high levels of communication between the Sales team and internal/external stakeholders, working closely with senior leadership. Maintain and improve relationships with existing and new partners. - Define, track and report on key sales metrics, analyse sales performance data, and derive actionable insights to drive sales and the onboarding of partners. - Be an educator, coach and mentor for the sales team and across the wider organisation. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. - Create, manage and communicate the sales process to be used as a guiding tool for our stakeholders to ensure clear focus for achievement. Person Specification - Proven experience in a sales leadership role within a sales-led company, with a track record of successfully developing sales growth and winning new business, ideally in a FinTech environment. - Demonstratable ability to create a strategic sales plan, generate leads and manage an effective pipeline leading to the achievement of targets. - Strong strategic thinking and vision-setting abilities, with the capability to align sales strategy with business goals and market dynamics. - To be able to work in an ambiguous, dynamic environment. Start up/scale up experience would be a plus. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organisation. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact with people with varying levels of knowledge and experience. - Highly motivated with a strong work ethic. - Knowledge of Fintech products. - Excellent negotiation skills. - Account management experience. - Ability to deal with and solve problems quickly and accurately. - Strong organisational and time management skills. - Ability to perform under pressure.
